APoS Site Survey

Access-Point-on-a-Stick (APoS) site survey is a crucial step in designing a Wi-Fi system — it’s literally the key to success!

It usually takes place after gathering requirements and doing predictive planning (modeling coverage on floor plans using specialized software).

We visit the site, temporarily mount access points on tripods, and measure actual coverage and signal parameters (like signal strength RSSI, signal-to-noise ratio SNR/SNIR, etc.). This allows us to account for the real-world characteristics and features of the building, as well as identify any “future neighbors on the air” and potential sources of interference.

The result? Fewer nasty surprises during installation, higher speeds, reliable connectivity, and happy users!
